Similar to my original authentic coquito recipe, this Guava Coquito is mixed with cream of coconut, all-natural guayaba pulp and paste, cinnamon, vanilla and lime extracts.
From all flavored coquito versions, this is my go-to choice during the holiday season when I’m craving something uniquely Caribbean and fruity.
How to Make the Perfect Guava Coquito
When considering how to make a fruit flavored coquito, it’s important to note the fruit’s natural sweetness. In this case, a ripe guava is very sweet and citrusy, and when paired with traditional coquito ingredients it can easily overpower the drink.

To keep this guava coquito recipe perfectly balanced, here are the tips and tricks I recommend following:
- Stick to unsweetened or all natural fruit ingredients. Consider using fresh guayaba or a no sugar added guava puree. If you’re going to use a processed version of guayaba that is sweetened – like a guava paste or marmalade – use it sparingly!
- Think of complementary fruit flavors. Since guava has hints of citrus in its flavor profile, try adding lime or grapefruit notes in the coquito by using zests and extracts.
Ingredients

To make this fruit flavored Guava Coquito you’ll need to following ingredients:
- Unsweetened guava pulp or juice
- Guava paste
- Cream of coconut
- Evaporated milk
- Sweetened condensed milk
- Cinnamon
- Clove
- Vanilla extract
- Lime extract (optional)
- White rum

My new favorite coquito!!! The guayaba is noticeable without masking the coconut flavor. Thank you so much Nata. Love from VA.
